Heroine Shikkaku's Momoko Koda Ends Atashino! Manga
posted on by Karen Ressler
This year's December issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine published the final chapter of the main story of Momoko Kōda's Atashino! (Mine!) manga on Tuesday. The issue also announced that a side story, the true final chapter, will run in the magazine's next issue on December 13.
The manga follows Akoko, who always says just what she's thinking, and her shrewd best friend Mitsuki. Both of them like their upperclassman Naomi, so when he has to repeat a grade and ends up in their class, their battle begins.
Kōda launched the manga in Bessatsu Margaret in September 2017. Shueisha published the third compiled volume on August 24.
Kōda's 10-volume Heroine Shikkaku (No Longer the Heroine) manga ran in Bessatsu Margaret magazine from 2010 to 2013, and inspired a live-action film in September 2015. Kōda also drew the 13-volume Sensei Kunshu manga in Bessatsu Margaret from 2013 to 2017, and it inspired a live-action film this past August.
