Chinese Webcomic Inspires 'Hora, Mimi ga Mieteru yo!' Anime Premiering on October 3

Yomiuri TV Enterprise announced on Friday that a Chinese webcomic is inspiring a television anime series titled Hora, Mimi ga Mieteru yo! (Look, I Can See Your Ears!). The Chinese-Japanese coproduction will premiere first in China on the bilibili streaming service this month, and will then premiere on TV and online in Japan in October. The anime will air on Tokyo MX and AT-X in Japan starting on October 3.
Chiaki Sugano (animation director ID-0, BBK/BRNK) is directing and producing the anime. monofilmo is credited as both the animation studio and as the scriptwriter. Hiroshi Chikasada is the sound director at Alchemy Bros. Rookie singer Tsukino Amasato is performing the show's theme song "Mimimimi Puwappu."
The show stars Ayumu Murase as Myō (pictured right in above image) and Yūma Uchida as Daisū (left). The anime follows Daisū, a manga creator who grew up in an orphanage, and whose works do not sell very well. Daisū lives each lonely day in boredom, but one day he meets a young man named Myō who has cat ears, and his everyday life completely changes. Myō gets in trouble every day, but for the first time in his life, Daisū's heart experiences "warmth." The story follows their everyday comical life together while slowly unraveling the mystery of Myō.
