Udon Entertainment announced at the American Library Association Annual Conference in New Orleans on Tuesday that it is founding a new subsidiary company that will oversee its Manga Classics line of comics. Udon Entertainment CEO Erik Ko and Morpheus Studios owner Andy Hung will be co-partners in the new company.
Udon Entertainment also announced that adaptations of William Shakespeare's Macbeth and Bram Stoker's Dracula will ship for the line on September 1. Crystal S. Chan and Julien Choy are working on Macbeth while Stacy King and Virginia Nitōhei (Otherworldly Izakaya "Nobu") are working on Dracula.
Udon Entertainment and Morpheus Studios launched Manga Classics as a joint imprint in 2014. The imprint publishes manga-style comic adaptations of literary classics.
