Kemono Friends Director Tatsuki Announces New Anime
posted on by Karen Ressler
Kemono Friends director TATSUKI and his three-person independent animation group irodori — which also includes Kemono Friends art director Yūko Shiromizu and Kemono Friends animation director Yoshihisa Isa — announced a new anime project with a flier at Comic Market on Friday. The flier, pictured below, does not contain the title or format of the project. The bottom right corner reads "TV Anime Start," but with the word "TV" mostly faded.
TATSUKI revealed in October that he is recruiting experienced background artists for an unannounced project. The group debuted a separate short anime titled "Keifuku-san" on Thursday. TATSUKI previously posted the first two parts of the short.
TATSUKI reported in September that, per a notification from publishing and production company Kadokawa, he is no longer working on the Kemono Friends project. Soon after, the anime's official website announced that Yaoyorozu would no longer be involved due to communication problems related to copyright permission. Producer Yoshitada Fukuhara confirmed on Wednesday that Yaoyorozu will not return.
