Love My Life's Yamaji Launches Mizuumi Manga

The January issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Beam magazine revealed on December 12 that manga creator Ebine Yamaji will launch the Mizuumi (Lake) manga in the magazine's February issue, which ships on January 12.
The manga will tell the story of one of the "masterpieces of 19th century German literature," and will center on "the short-lived love of a young soul." "Storm" is credited with the original work. The description and preview image of an old man suggest that the manga could be adapting Theodor Storm's The Lake of the Bees novella, in which an old man looks back on his life and young love.
Yamaji launched the Red Thimble manga (pictured at right) in Comic Beam in March 2015, and ended the three-volume series on May 12.
JManga once licensed and released Yamaji's Love My Life yuri manga in North America. A live-action film adaptation of the manga premiered in 2006.
