Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Game Gets PC Release on October 27
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced on Friday that they will release the Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition game digitally for PC on October 27. In addition to the main game, the release will include all three chapters of the "Abyss of the Shrine Maiden" DLC and the "Lord of the Inferno" DLC for US$49.99.
Reki Kawahara, author of the original Sword Art Online novel series, collaborated on the game. The characters Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, Silica, Lisbeth, and Sinon appear in the game, and players can choose up to three characters to join their party. The game's new characters are a mysterious AI named Premiere (voiced by Yuiko Tatsumi) and Genesis (voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu). Genesis, like Kirito, is called the "black swordsman." Players explore the world of Ainground in the Sword Art: Origin game.
The game shipped for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan in October 2016, and in North America and Europe in November. The "Warriors of the Sky" update launched in Japan in December and in the West in March.
Disclosure: Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings Inc., is a non-controlling, minority shareholder in Anime News Network Inc.
