Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a video on Thursday for its Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game for the Nintendo Switch. The video shows the unique features for the Switch version, including the various ways of playing the game, and performing attacks using hand gestures.
The Switch version will launch in Japan on September 7, and will launch in the Americas and Europe on September 22.
The release will include three new systems. The new ad-hoc co-op feature will let players connect and play with up to six players locally for the first time in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series. Using the motion sensor will let players use ultimate techniques. For example, players will be able to hold the Joy-Cons in both hands to use a Kamehameha attack. Two players will be able to use Joy-Cons to battle against each other on one Nintendo Switch.
The release will offer the "Time Patrol" story from the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse game as a limited-time bonus. The first copies will include a download code to unlock more than 70 characters from the main story immediately.
Bandai Namco Entertainment released the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in North America and Europe last October. Bandai Namco Entertainment released the game for the PS4 in Japan last November.
