Koei Tecmo began streaming the first promotional video on Friday for Nobunaga no Yabō: Taishi (Nobunaga's Ambition: Aspiration), its newest game in its long running Nobunaga's Ambition strategy game series. The video highlights the different historical Japanese Warring States era warlords who appear in the game, including Oda Nobunaga, Takeda Shingen, Uesugi Kenshin, Hōjō Ujiyasu, and Mōri Motonari.
The game will ship for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 30. Those who pre-order the game will get the "Jirō Hōshi Naotora" scenario, as well as an exclusive scenario that differs by platform. The game will also get a "Treasure Box" edition that contains the original soundtrack, a "Kō Shibusawa Hiden Kōryaku Data" and artbook, a download code for a new scenario, and a notebook. Those who pre-order at Gamecity and Amazon Japan will get mini-props that replicate Sōza Samonji and Yagen Tōshirō, Nobunaga's favored sword and dagger.
The long-running Nobunaga's Ambition historical strategy game series celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2013. Koei Tecmo Games released Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence (Nobunaga no Yabō: Sōzō) for PS4, PS3, and PC in North America and Europe in September 2015, and the game received a release for Nintendo Switch in Japan in March. Koei Tecmo Games also released the follow-up, Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension for the PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 in Japan in March 2016, and in the West for the PS4 and Steam in October.
