Nintendo Switch Sells 4.7 Million Units Worldwide

Nintendo updated its sales data through June 30, revealing that it has sold more than 4.7 million units of its Nintendo Switch console worldwide. In addition, it has sold 13.6 million units of Nintendo Switch software.
The total worldwide unit sales for Nintendo's other recent consoles and handheld devices are as follows:

Nintendo also updated its list of top-selling Nintendo Switch software titles. As of June 30, the top selling titles and the number of units sold worldwide are as follows:
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 3.92 million
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 3.54 million
- 1-2-Switch: 1.22 million
- ARMS: 1.18 million
As it shipped in Japan on July 21, Splatoon 2 is not included in the ranking. According to 4Gamer's estimate, the game shipped 648,085 copies in Japan in its first three days, while Famitsu estimates 670,955 copies.
As of March 31, Nintendo had sold 2.74 million Switch consoles worldwide, including 600,000 units in Japan, 1.2 million units in the Americas, and 940,000 units in other regions. The console had sold an estimated 330,637 units in Japan within three days of its launch. It surpassed 500,000 units in Japan in four weeks — outpacing Sony's PlayStation 4 over the same time period — and surpassed 1 million units in Japan by June 25.
