Funimation Reveals English Dub Cast For Love Tyrant Anime

Funimation revealed the English dub cast list on Wednesday for the Love Tyrant anime series. The English dub premiered on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
The cast — under ADR Director Jerry Jewell, ADR engineer William Dewell, writer Monica Rial, and mixing engineer Andrew Tipps — includes:
- Jad Saxton as Guri
- Austin Tindle as Seiji
- Amber Lee Connors as Akane
- Monica Rial as Yuzu
- Sonny Strait as Coraly
Episode 1 Cast:
- Dawn M. Bennett as Seiji's Mother
- Jerry Jewell as Seiji's Father
- Anastasia Munoz as Seiji's Grandmother
The series premiered on April 6 in Japan, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series with subtitles as it airs.
The anime adapts Megane Mihoshi's Renai Bōkun (The very lovely tyrant of love) manga. The romantic comedy begins when Guri, an angel with a mysterious item that turns any two people who kiss into a couple, appears before a high school boy named Seiji Aino. However, there is a yandere high school girl named Akane who loves Seiji.
Atsushi Nigorikawa (Anime De Training! Ex) is directing the series at EMT Squared (Kumamiko, Nyanko Days). Natsuko Takahashi (Long Riders!, My Love Story!!) is in charge of series composition, and Mariko Ito (ViVid Strike!, Log Horizon) is designing the characters. Miyako Yatsu (Flowers of Evil, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes) and Jun'ichi Kitamura (Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear, Rewrite animation director) are serving as chief animation directors. monaca (Wagnaria!!, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is composing the music.
