DC Super Heroes vs. Eagle Talon Comedy Anime Film Teased for This Fall

Anime studio DLE Inc. announced on Wednesday that it is producing the DC Super Heroes vs. Eagle Talon anime film, and it is streaming a teaser trailer with English narration for the project. The video outlines the film's story with self-referential jokes, and states that the film will be "in theaters this fall... probably."

The film's story is set in present-day Tokyo, where Joker and Harley Quinn steal a secret weapon that Doctor Leonardo developed in order to make money by making a movie. The secret society Eagle Talon and the super heroes of DC's Justice League face off, but Eagle Talon worries that the animation will become sloppy and asks Batman for more funding.

The original Eagle Talon Flash anime centers on the titular secret society and its bumbling attempts to take over the world. The production company DLE Inc. launched the first Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume (Secret Society Eagle Talon) television series in 2006, and the series spawned several films. Artist Frogman serves as the "director/writer/character designer/sound Recording Engineer/Flash animator/editor/voice actor."

Eagle Talon GT, the anime's seventh season, premiered last April in celebration of the franchise's 10th anniversary. For the first time in the franchise's history, the show included live-action segments in addition to the anime shorts, where the series' creator Frogman appears in costume as the character Yoshida.

Warner Bros. Pictures' Justice League film opens in Japan on November 18, one day after opening in the United States.

Joker has come to Japan to steal the Eagle Talon Society's secret weapons in his continued scheme for pure chaos. However, the Justice League is on his trail, but there's something off with Batman. Now, it's up to Eagle Talon to go find out what's wrong with Batman, and that means going back in time to Bruce Wayne's most traumatic experience, the murder of his parents. If that wasn't enough to worry about, the Eagle Talon Society also have to keep their eyes on their production budget, especially with most of that money going towards the licensing fee for DC's popular characters. Will the Eagle Talon Society and the Justice League be able to stop the Joker before their budget dries up, and they're reduced to simple stick figures!?

While supplies last, Warner Brothers Japan will be distributing copies of the film's entire script at Anime Japan this weekend.
