Frogman's 2nd Theatrical Eagle Talon Movie Announced
posted on by Egan Loo
A second movie has been green-lit for Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume (Eagle Talon), a quirky collection of Flash-animated shorts that drew a cult following in Japan after a late-night television run and a theatrical film release. The tentatively titled Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume THE MOVIE II ~Shimane wa Tottori no Hidarigawa Desu~ (Eagle Talon The Movie II - The Island Nation is to the Left of Tottori) will open in early summer. As on the first film, the artist Frogman will direct, write, design, animate, edit, and dub the entire production. The second movie will feature a song by The Hoosiers, an English indie rock band whose debut album (The Trick to Life) debuted at #1 in the United Kingdom last year.
The first Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume THE MOVIE ~Soutou wa Nido Shinu~ (Eagle Talon The Movie - The Chancellor Only Lives Twice) will have its North American premiere during the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. The first showing at February 29 in the ImaginAsian Theatre at 8:00 p.m. has sold out, but a second showing in the Village East Cinemas at 8:10 p.m. has been added. Another Frogman theatrical film, Sguy and The Family Stone the Movie, will open in Japan this Saturday.
