Rage of Bahamut Social Game Ends iOS Version
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Cygames ended service for the iOS version of its Rage of Bahamut social game last Thursday. The game's Android and browser versions are still active. The company is offering refunds for players who still possess in-game currency for the iOS version.
The game's iOS version launched in Japan alongside the Android version in November 2011. The game itself launched for feature phones in Japan with the title of Shingeki no Bahamut in September of that same year. The game launched its English version in 2012.
The game inspired a 2014 television anime titled Rage of Bahamut Genesis, as well as a sequel television anime titled Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul, which premieres in April. Funimation streamed the first series as it aired. The Rage of Bahamut: Manaria Friends spinoff series of shorts was green-lit, and was slated to premiere last April. However, the series has been delayed indefinitely, and the official website removed the entire staff listing.
