Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Tuesday that it has licensed Wataru Yoshizumi's Marmalade Boy Little manga. It will publish the first volume of the manga on June 8.
Marmalade Boy Little is set 13 years after the last installment of the original Marmalade Boy manga. The sequel follows the little sister and brother of Miki and Yū, the main leads of the original series. Miki, Yū, and other characters from the original series will appear in the sequel.
The original manga centered around the romance between Miki and Yū, two teens whose parents suddenly decide to switch partners and remarry each other. Miki and Yū find themselves living under the same roof with their four mutual parents.
Yoshizumi launched the manga in Shueisha's Cocohana magazine in March 2013. Shueisha published the manga's fourth compiled book volume last October.
Yoshizumi serialized the original manga in Shueisha's Ribon magazine from 1992 to 1995. The manga sold 9.7 million copies and inspired a television anime series in 1994 and a prequel anime film in 1995. It also inspired a live-action television series in Taiwan.
