This year's November issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine announced on September 28 that manga artists Arina Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite, Phantom Thief Jeanne, The Gentlemen's Alliance†, Neko to Watashi no Kinyōbi) and Yui Kikuta (Mahō Tsukai no Neko, Aruhi, Mahō ga Sekai o Horoboshita, Hoshi no Ame Tsuki no Geboku) are collaborating on a new manga series titled Shunkan Lyle (Moment Lyle). The series will begin in the December issue on October 28. The manga will mark the first time Tanemura is publishing a series with Ichijinsha. The first chapter will have an opening color page.
The fantasy manga takes place in a mysterious kingdom ruled by magic. The tagline on the announcement in the November issue reads, "When you opened your eyes, there was an instant of a moment." The magazine's announcement had also called the manga "a wizard story where crossing through space-time is forbidden."
Tanemura started the final arc of her Neko to Watashi no Kinyōbi (The Cat's and My Friday) manga in in July. She launched the manga in Shueisha's Margaret magazine in February 2013, and Shueisha published the manga's ninth compiled book volume on June 25. Tanemura said she plans to end the manga with its 11th volume.
Tanemura had ended her exclusivity contract with Shueisha's Ribon magazine in spring 2011.
Kikuta has also written under the pen name Kyakya Asano, and she used to work as Tanemura's assistant.
