Kana Hanazawa Holds 1st Budōkan Solo Concert

Voice actress/singer Kana Hanazawa opened her "Kana Hanazawa live 2015 'Blue Avenue'" live tour with a concert at the famed Nippon Budōkan arena on Sunday. This was Kanazawa's first time performing a solo live concert at the Budōkan since she began her musical career.
Aniplex released her latest album, titled Blue Avenue, on April 22.
Nippon Budōkan is an indoor arena venue that can seat about 14,000 attendees, although it typically seats 10,000 or less when configured for musical concerts.
Mamoru Miyano was the first male voice actor to perform at the arena. GRANRODEO (with voice actor Kishô Taniyama), OLDCODEX (with voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki), Nana Mizuki, Yukari Tamura, Yui Horie, Maaya Sakamoto, and Minori Chihara have performed in the arena as well. Vocaloid digital idol Hatsune Miku will host her "Hatsune Miku Miracle Mirai 2015" concert at Budōkan on September 4 and 5. Voice actor Daisuke Ono will host a two-day performance at the venue on January 16-17.
The next leg of Kanazawa's live tour will see her perform at the Fukuoka Civic Hall in Fukuoka on June 6. She will also perform at the Osaka International Convention Center (Grand Cube Osaka) in Osaka on June 14, at the NTK Hall in Nagoya on June 20, and at the IZUMITY 21 in Sendai on July 12.
Kanazawa has released three studio albums and eight singles to date. Her latest single, "Kimi ga Inakucha Dame Nanda," is the theme song for the live-action movie of the same name, which stars Kanazawa in the lead role. She has performed theme songs for Bakemonogatari, Oreimo, and Nisekoi. She has voiced characters in such anime as Durarara!!, Steins;Gate, and Psycho-Pass.
