posted on by Andrew Osmond
Isao Takhata's Oscar-nominated Ghibli film The Tale of the Princess Kaguya opens in cinemas on Friday March 20 (March 27 in Ireland). Set in tenth-century Japan, it is about a tiny girl who emerges from a bamboo shoot, is adopted by a peasant couple, and then finds herself elevated to high society.
Studio Canal gave ANN a list of cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland which will show the film, although this list may still be expanded.
The films in bold are on the Studio Canal list, but they do not have confirmed details on their websites as of writing.
