Sega's Hero Bank 2 3DS RPG's Opening Movie Streamed
posted on by Emma Hanashiro
Sega began streaming the opening animation for its Hero Bank 2 Nintendo 3DS game on Tuesday. The idol group Kamen Joshi (Mask Girls) join professional karate fighter Nobuaki Kakuda to perform the opening theme, "Kasege! Jarinko Hero" (Make Money, Dunce Hero!).
The opening describes the Hero Banks system as "humanity's dream" cyber sport, a ground breaking project where people can battle others throughout the world. In this second "money battle RPG," hero Kaito tries to defend Japan from the evil hands of the mysterious "Shichifukujin" (Seven Lucky Gods) group.
Kaito Ishikawa will join the cast as a new character Sekito Sakurada, Kaito's new friend whose Hero-Gi is "Credit Loan Wolf," and Mayumi Tanaka will play Boochokkin.
The pervious teaser trailer revealed the game will include two versus two battles and that Funasshi, the unofficial pear-fairy mascot of Funabashi City in Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo, will also appear in the game.
Hero Bank 2 will go on sale on November 27 for the price of 5,139 yen (about US$51). First copies of the game will come with an in-game Funasshi Hero Suit for the player to equip, as well as a special card for the Hero Bank arcade game. Having the game while playing the arcade game will also give special bonuses. The tie-in anime adaptation premiered in April and Crunchyroll is streaming the series.
