'Shocking New Pokémon Project' To Be Announced on August 26

Nintendo opened a teaser website for a “shocking (as in 'astounding') new project” for the Pokémon franchise on Monday. The project will be unveiled on a Niconico live stream on August 26 at 10 p.m. JST. The program will be titled “Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokémon Special.”
Guests that will attend the live-streamed announcement conference will be president of The Pokémon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara, voice actor Nobuhiko Okamoto (A Certain Magical Index II's Accelerator, Unbreakable Machine-Doll's Loki) and voice actress Aoi Yūki (Pokémon: Black and White's Iris, Senki Zesshō Symphogear's Hibiki). Two special guests remain unannounced. Okamoto and Yūki have worked at promotional events for the franchise in the past.
Nintendo will ship the Nintendo 3DS remakes of the 2003 Game Boy Advance games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire on November 28 in Europe and November 21 in Japan, North America, and Australia. A 2015 Pokémon film featuring Primal Reversion Groudan and Kyogre has been green-lit.
