Thief Action Manga Mysterious Joker Gets TV Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
A television anime of Mysterious Joker (Kaitō Joker), Hideyasu Takahashi's caper action manga for children, has been green-lit. The wraparound jacket band on the manga's 17th volume is announcing the anime on Friday.
In the story, there is nothing in the world that the mysterious phantom thief Joker cannot steal. He goes after one treasure after another in unpredictable capers with seemingly miraculous tricks.
The anime will premiere this October on the Tokyo MX TV and Kids Station channels. More details will be Shogakukan's Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine.
Takahashi began the manga in Shogakukan's Bessatsu Coro Coro Comic magazine in 2007, although it then moved to the main Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine. The manga won the children's category of the 58th Shogakukan Manga Awards last year.
