The preview for this year's eighth issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi magazine is listing that Nana to Kaoru creator Ryuta Amazume will begin serializing a new manga titled Ichikyū Kyūpeke in the issue when it ships on July 4. The manga is described as a “90's manga circle (club) story.”
The manga revolves around a young man who attended a high school in a rural area, and drew his female classmates in his erotic manga. After graduating, he is accepted to a college in Tokyo. There, he finds everything he was looking for.
Amazume ended his Nana to Kaoru: Black Label manga in the same magazine in April, and Hakusensha will ship the fifth and final volume on July 29. Amazume also ended his Happy Negative Marriage manga in Shonengahosha's Young Comic magazine on April 10. However, the original Nana to Kaoru manga is still running in the main Young Animal magazine.
Hideki Okamoto directed an original video animation of Nana to Kaoru, and the anime shipped with the manga's sixth volume in March 2011.
