322,000 PlayStation 4s Sold During Launch Weekend in Japan

Famitsu reported a total of 322,083 PlayStation 4 units sold during the console's launch weekend in Japan on February 22-23. For comparison, the PlayStation 3 sold 88,443 units during its launch weekend in 2006 and the PlayStation 2 sold about 1 million units in the first three days of its Japanese release in 2000.
Sony sold one million PlayStation 4 consoles in the first 24 hours since its launch in the United States and Canada in November.
