Wai-Con Announces New Guest for 2014 Convention

Perth Anime Convention Wai-Con has announced that voice actor Bryce Papenbrook will be attending their 2014 event, replacing Chris Sabat who can no longer attend;

Wai-Con announced the new guest this morning on their website and facebook page. Bryce will be joining Tiffany Grant for this year's event and while both guests panels have yet to be announced we will publish details when they are available.

Chris Sabat's departure was announced last Thursday with the veteran voice actor no longer able to attend Wai-Con due to health issues. Wai-Con is offering refunds to attendees who were attending the convention to see Chris Sabat and the details can be found on Wai-Con's website.

Wai-Con will be taking place on the 1st and 2nd of March 2014 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in Perth, Western Australia and this will be the 10th year the event has run. Tickets are available online and if you would like further information please visit their website.

Bryce Papenbrook

Bryce Papenbrook is a one of a kind voice actor, he's not only a highly skilled martial artist, web developer and the son of anime voice actors Debbie Rothstein and the late Bob Papenbrook. He has went on to carve out his own niche as lead characters in many video games and anime. Bryce has recently voiced Kirito in Sword Art Online and Red in Pokémon Origins but you would have heard him as Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist and Masaomi Kida from Durarara!!. He's also the voice of Makoto Naegi in the upcoming English release of PSVita game Dangan Ronpa and he's the voice of lead protagonist Tiz Arrior in the Nintendo 3DS game Bravely Default. Bryce has also done some voice acting under the pseudonym "Dick Smallberries Jr.".
