Perth's Wai-Con to Host Tiffany Grant

posted on by Jon Hayward
Tiffany Grant, the English voice actor of Asuka Sohryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion will travel to Western Australia in March for Wai-Con 2014.

Wai-Con made the announcement on Sunday the 12th of January 2014 through their website and facebook page. Tiffany Grant joins previously announced guest Chris Sabat for the convention.

Wai-Con 2014 will be held on the 1st and 2nd of March 2014 at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre and this year marks the 10th year the event has run.

Tiffany Grant

Tiffany is quoted as being the first voice actor hired by ADV back in 1994 and since then she has been responsible for the iconic voice of Asuka Langley in Neon Genesis Evanglion and most recently the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. However Tiffany has over 160 voice acting credits to her name including Koko in tsuritama, Christiane Friedrich in Majikoi - Oh! Samurai Girls, Kaorin in Azumanga Daioh and Kudryavka Noumi in Little Busters!. And she has a couple of English translation scripts under her belt with over 200 episodes encompassing series like Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy, Infinite Stratos and Angelic Layer.

Chris Sabat

Chris Sabat has voiced everything, most famously known as Vegeta, Yamcha and Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z he was also responsible for the ADR direction for the Dragon Ball Z and helped produce many titles that we know and love today. Chris has also voiced Alex Louis Armstrong in Fullmetal Alchemist, Daisuke Jigen in a series of Lupin the III specials, Elfman in Fairy Tail and Roronoa Zoro in One Piece. ANNAU previously spent five minutes with Chris Sabat back in 2009 and can definitely say that his insight into anime voice acting and production is well worth any fan's time. And Chris also revisited Perth in 2013 for Oz Comic-Con.
