Hidamari Sketch Voice Actress Kana Asumi Gets Married

Voice actress and singer Kana Asumi announced on her official blog on Wednesday that a few days ago she entered her name in the family register of her local government — the legal procedure for marriage in Japan.

Asumi thanked all of her fans from the bottom of her heart for their constant support, and added, "In regards to work, of course after this I will continue to always try my best with all my might. In order to get even just a little bit closer to my goal, I will continue to proceed without fear." Asumi also said that she wants to continue to move her audience's hearts with her voice, and hopes that her fans can continue to look after her. Asumi did not provide any information about her new spouse in her post.

Asumi has played Yuno in the multiple Hidamari Sketch television anime series and specials, Fumi Hibino in Hayate the Combat Butler, and Kiyal in Gurren Lagann. She is also known for her roles as Nyaruko in Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, Yuikaze in Dog Days, Madoka Harumi in Dog & Scissors, Ran in Shugo Chara!, Kaoru Hanawa in Tamayura, Popura in Wagnaria!!, Chihiro Kosaka in The World God Only Knows, and most recently, Touko Hio in Witch Craft Works.

Asumi has also performed theme songs and insert songs for various Hidamari Sketch series and specials, Wagnaria!!, Amagami SS, Non Non Biyori, Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W, and Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, among others.
