posted on by Sarah Nelkin
This year's seventh issue of Shogakugan's Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on January 15 that a new video game for Gōshō Aoyama's Case Closed (Detective Conan) manga and anime is in the works.
The game titled Detective Conan: Phantom Rhapsody is being developed by Bandai Namco Games for the Nintendo 3DS, and the story will follow Conan as he solves a new case with Heiji Hattori as his enemy. While participating in a logic-testing event, a murder occurs, and a message from the murderer appears on Conan's cell phone. Conan is forced to try and find the culprit in the case, which is revealed to be one death in a serial murder case. New characters appearing in the game include Masumi Sera. The usual cast of members including Ran will be returning for the game.
Detective Conan: Phantom Rhapsody will ship in Japan on April 17 for the price of 5,690 yen (about US$57).
