Story about young, relaxed policeman inspired net anime earlier this year
Heisei Policemen!! manga creator So-He- Inaba confirmed on Twitter on Thursday that the series will end in two chapters. The story will conclude in 2014's combined 6th/7th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine on January 9. Inaba also confirmed that the final compiled volume is slated to ship in Japan in February.
The police gag manga revolves around a rookie policeman named Gō Gō, who likes to do things at his own pace. Gō's higher-ups are tired of his relaxed way of living, but Gō continues to work to protect the town, often in unpredictable and hilarious ways. Inaba launched the manga in 2010, and Shueisha published the manga's 13th volume on November 19.
The manga inspired a six-episode net anime series that premiered in April.
