posted on by Rae First
The 36th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is publishing the last chapter of Daijirō Nonoue's Mutō Black manga on Monday.
Mutō Black is Nonoue's first serialization in the magazine. The historical martial arts series takes place in Edo during the warring states period. All sorts of warriors travel to Edo to prove themselves, and the city has become chaotic with swords being drawn at every hour. One spring, a man named Yukiji Kurotsuki opens a dōjō. He looks plain and weak, and lacks the proper equipment to run the dōjō, so he has no students. The landlord becomes frustrated, and is ready to kick Yukiji out, so he goes into town to promote his dōjō. It is then that Yukiji meets a young boy who changes his fate forever.
The manga ran for three months in Weekly Shonen Jump. Shueisha will publish the first volume of the manga on September 4, and the second one will ship on October 4.
