Toei Reports All-Time High Revenue, Income in 1st Quarter

Toei Animation reported on Monday an all-time record high revenue and profit in their first quarter of the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2014 (April 1, 2013-June 30, 2013). Overall revenue increased by 13.6%, net operating income increased by 160.2%, and ordinary income increased by 137.1%. However, net income went down 134.5%. However, this is still a significant leap in sales for the company.
Within the last year, the company has released a few major films, including Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and One Piece Film Z, along with the limited edition Blu-ray/DVD boxset One Piece Film Z: GREATEST ARMORED EDITION. The sales of these two films, among others, have greatly contributed to sales both domestically and internationally.
