Crunchyroll to Stream Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san TV Anime

The media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the television anime adaptation of Keiji Nashima's Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san manga. Crunchyroll will stream the series on Saturdays starting on April 6 at 4:00 p.m. EDT for members in the United States, Canada, Central and South America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, and Portugal.
The comedy story centers around Muromi-san (played by Yukari Tamura), a mermaid who happens to speak with a Hakata accent. She is suddenly caught by Takurō Mukōjima (Takahiro Mizushima), a boy in his high school's fishing club. The show also stars Hitomi Harada as Fuji-san, Kanako Sakai as Harpy, Ai Nonaka as Hii-chan, and Chiwa Saitō as Yeti.
Tatsuya Yoshihara (Aruvu Rezuru - Kikai Jikake no Yōsei-tachi, Princess Resurrection Unit Director) is directing the series at Tatsunoko Production (C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility, Sket Dance). Kikuko Sadakata (Princess Resurrection, Shikabane Hime: Kuro, Mayo elle Otokonoko) is handling the character designs and is serving as chief animation director, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Ben-To, scripts on Bleach, Monster, NANA) is serving as series script supervisor.
The television anime will premiere in Japan on April 6.
