Artists & Musicians Launch Tohoku Quake Charity Project (Updated)

Zapuni brings together Yamakan, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Uruma Delvi, David Byrne, Sigur Rós
Zapuni, a collaborative project between Japanese animators and internationally renowned musicians, launched a new effort on Monday to raise funds for children affected by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster. The first two anime shorts by volunteer artists are now streaming online.
"Psychedelic Afternoon"

Animation Production: Uruma Delvi (Bottom Biting Bug)/Uruma Delvi Production

Animation Production: Yutaka Yamamoto "Yamakan" (Kannagi, Senyū.)/Ordet
Zapuni will offer downloads of the shorts on iTunes as well as original charity goods. Proceeds from the sales will go towards School Music Revival, the project co-founded by Sakamoto to help schools replace musical instruments lost in the disaster.
Update: Crunchyroll is also streaming the videos and raising money through sales of iPhone cases.
