Japan's Animation DVD Ranking, January 14-20

The standard edition of the manga-based live-action film Brave Hearts Umizaru sold 33,079 copies to top the overall DVD chart, while the premium edition was #2 with 18,172. The limited first pressing DVD for The Legend of the Galactic Heroes stage play Kagayaku Hoshi Yami o Saite (The Twinkling Stars Split the Darkness) debuted at #9 with 3,181 copies sold.
The live-action film adaptation of the Rurouni Kenshin manga sold 3,159 more standard-edition copies for a new total of 32,704. It rose from #11 to #10 in its fourth week. The special edition of the live-action film adaptation of the Helter Skelter manga sold 2,058 more copies to add to its total of 35,852. It fell from #9 to #15 in its fifth week.
Kamen Rider Fourze the Movie: Minna de Uchū Kitaa! came in at #16 with 1,955 copies. The Collector's Pack version was #20 with 1,679 copies. The DVD for "Sakura Nagashi," Hikaru Utada's theme song for the Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo (Evangelion Shin Gekijō-ban Q) anime film, fell from #13 to #26 in its fourth week. It sold 1,524 more copies for a total of 29,540.
The AKB48 in Tokyo Dome ~1830m no Yume~ Single Collection sold 1,392 more copies to add to its total of 30,606. It dropped from #19 to #29 in its eighth week.
