ALC Publishing, JManga to Publish Namori's Yuruyuri Manga
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Erica Friedman, president of Yuricon and ALC Publishing, announced on Friday that ALC Publishing and JManga will publish Namori's Yuruyuri manga, as well as Rikachi's Sorairo Girl Friend and Taishi Zaou and Eiki Eiki's Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu manga. All three manga series, which are or were all published in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine, will premiere on the JManga website this summer.
Namori's Yuruyuri was adapted into a 12-episode television anime series last year, and its second season, Yuruyuri♪♪, will premiere on July 2. Crunchyroll will stream the second season in various countries outside of Japan as it airs, just as it did for the first season.
Ichijinsha will publish the eighth volume of Yuruyuri in July. The manga follows four fun-loving schoolgirls who take over the former room of a tea ceremony club for their own "Gorakubu" (amusement club).
Eiki Eiki and Taishi Zaou's Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu is a one-volume manga that revolves around how various couples in an all-girl's school work out difficult situations. Ichijinsha originally published the manga in 2007.
Friedman describes Rikachi's one-volume Sorairo Girl Friend manga as follows:
Sorairo Girl Friend, by Rikachi, follows the love story of Hiromi and Juri. Transfer student Juri is convinced that Hiromi is the only one for her. They may be Romeo and Juliet in Julie's mind, but will they have a tragic ending? Hiromi isn't sure.
Ichijinsha originally published Sorairo Girl Friend in 2009.
ALC Publishing and JManga previously partnered to publish Hayako Gotō's Poor Poor Lips yuri manga and Kuzushiro's Kimino Tamenara Shineru yuri manga.
