Final Towa no Quon Anime Film's 1st 9 Minutes Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The Pia ticket service began streaming the first nine minutes from the final movie in BONES' six-part film series Towa no Quon on Friday. (The trailer for the final movie has been streaming since last month.) The sixth installment in the supernatural anime film series opened in Japan on November 26.
The story of Towa no Quon follows a boy named Quon (Hiroshi Kamiya) and others who suddenly wake up with supernatural powers. Quon must protect himself and those like him from Kestos, the secret organization hunting them. The film series launched in Japanese theaters this past June, and Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 theater will screen all six parts in a late-night marathon on December 29 with Kamiya as a special guest.
Takeshi Mori (Otaku no Video, Gunsmith Cats, Vandread) served as the anime's "collaborative director" in place of the late Umanosuke Iida (Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Hellsing). Iida passed away from lung cancer last November as he was planning the series.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in September, and The Anime Network has been streaming some of the installments in the series to subscribers. Sentai Filmworks plans to release the series on Blu-ray and DVD next year.
