Hayate Film's Standalone BD/DVD to Add New Anime Footage

The official website for the Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth film confirmed on Wednesday that the film will receive a standalone release on Blu-ray Disc and DVD next year with new anime sequences. The launch date, price, and special features of the release will be announced "soon." Before the standalone release, the film will be bundled on DVD with the 31st volume of Kenjirō Hata's original Hayate the Combat Butler manga on December 16.
The Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth movie began its theater run with the Negima film in Japan on August 27. The "99th" Hayate manga volume, which was distributed at the films' screenings, already announced in August that production on a new anime had been green-lit.
