Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will simulcast the new Hunter x Hunter television anime series on Saturdays starting October 1. Crunchyroll will simulcast the series in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand on Saturdays at 8:30 pm PDT.
The new Hunter x Hunter anime will retell the story of Yoshihiro Togashi's original manga from the beginning. Takahiro Yoshimatsu ("Something Yoshimatsu" of Future GPX Cyber Formula, Slayers) is designing the characters, while Toshio Nakatani is producing.
Crunchyroll also confirmed on Friday it will continue simulcasting 10 ongoing series: Beelzebub, Bleach, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Fairy Tail, Gintama, THE IDOLM@STER, Kaasan - Mom's Life, Morita-san wa Mukuchi, Naruto Shippūden, and Sket Dance.
