Towa no Quon TV Special Streamed with Anime Footage
posted on by Egan Loo
The BIGLOBE service began streaming a 25-minute television special for Bones' Towa no Quon film series on Saturday. The special includes a preview of the anime's footage.
Utakata no Kaben, the first film in the six-part monthly series, also opened on Saturday in Japan. The story follows a boy named Quon and others who suddenly wake up with supernatural powers.
The anime studio BONES is producing the film series as the last anime of Umanosuke Iida (Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Hellsing), the director who passed away last November. Takeshi Mori (Otaku no Video, Gunsmith Cats, Vandread) is serving as the "collaborative director" in Iida's place.
The television special originally aired in Tokyo on June 10, and Ryōko Shiraishi (Yuriko) and Chiaki Omigawa (Miu) hosted the program. People who watch all six films can receive a special drama CD. The official website also posted images from Konton no Ranbu, the second film in the series.
