Monster Hunter Nikki Anime Shorts Get Sequel
posted on by Egan Loo
Production on a sequel to MonHun Nikki Girigiri Airū-mura Airū Kiki Ippatsu, the series of television anime shorts that promoted CAPCOM's MonHun Nikki Pokapoka Airū-mura game for the Sony PSP system, has been green-lit. The MonHun Nikki Girigiri Airū-mura G anime will tie into the MonHun Nikki Pokapoka Airū-mura G game sequel, which CAPCOM will ship for the PSP in Japan this summer.
Similar to the first MonHun Nikki Girigiri Airū-mura Airū Kiki Ippatsu anime, the new anime will depict the comical adventures of the Airū (Felyne), a feline monster species in CAPCOM's Monster Hunter game franchise, as they face numerous quests.
CAPCOM posted the first promotional video for the MonHun Nikki Pokapoka Airū-mura G game on its official YouTube channel on Monday:
CAPCOM also posted the promotional video for the anime sequel on Wednesday:
The MonHun Nikki anime sequel's broadcast and streaming schedules have not been established yet. DLE, the company best known for the Flash-animated Secret Society Eagle Talon television series and films, produced both the previous MonHun Nikki series of anime shorts and the new anime sequel. Benpineko and Koutarou Yamawaki are returning to direct and design the characters. MBS aired the previous anime series last year.
