Jin Kobayashi's School Rumble 1-Shot, Next Series Planned
posted on by Egan Loo
Jin Kobayashi has brought back his most famous manga, School Rumble, in a eight-page, one-short story that ran in the March issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on Tuesday. The issue has also confirmed that Kobayashi is planning another series in the magazine, but has not revealed a date or title.
Kobayashi ended his School Rumble high school romantic comedy manga in July of 2008, although he began the School Rumble Z spinoff of side stories on month later. School Rumble Z ended last May. Kobayashi is still working on his Natsu no Arashi! manga, which was adapted into two anime seasons last year.
Del Rey published the 13th of 22 volumes of the original School Rumble manga in North America in September. Funimation released the two television series adaptations of School Rumble and the School Rumble: Extra Class video project. A third School Rumble series was bundled on DVDs with the last two volumes of the original School Rumble manga.
