Second Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu TV Anime Green-Lit
posted on by Egan Loo
A "Dengeki no Kanzume" pamphlet enclosed in Isuna Hasekura and Jū Ayakura's Spice and Wolf X light novel has announced that production on a second season of the Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu television anime has been green-lit. Like the first series that ran in 2008, the new project adapts Yūsaku Igarashi's otaku romance comedy light novel about a boy who discovers that his high school's most unattainable girl is a secret otaku. Mamiko Noto and Wataru Hatano lead the cast by reprising their roles as the girl, Haruka Nogizaka, and the boy, Yūto Ayase, respectively.
Similarly, Munenori Nawa (D.C.S.S. ~Da Capo Second Season~, Kiss×sis) will return to direct. Series script supervisor Tsuyoshi Tamai (Inukami!, Strike Witches) and character designer Satoshi Ishino (Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy) also return from the first season. The first season's Studio Barcelona is producing the animation again under its new name, diomedéa. (The studio reformed and changed its name last November.)
The same "Dengeki no Kanzume" pamphlet also confirmed the summer premiere of the Spice and Wolf II television series and the April premiere of the Asura Cryin' television anime adaptation.
