Vexille All-CG Film to Open in Japan on August 18

The movie distributor Shochiku announced that the all-computer-graphics film Vexille - 2077 Nippon Sakoku (The Isolation of Japan) will open on August 18 in Japan. The Vexille producers plan to eventually show the movie in 53 countries. Fumihiko Sori animated the CG characters of Titanic, directed the Ping Pong live-action movie, and co-produced the Appleseed all-CG movie before co-writing and directing this story of Vexille, a woman in the American special forces unit SWORD. Ten years after neo-nationalists sealed the borders of Japan, SWORD must infiltrate the country to find the origin of a dangerous biotechnological threat. Source: animeanime.jp
