"Black Stones" and "Trapnest" bands from the Anime to perform live show
As the popularity of the TV Anime series based on Yazawa Ai's NANA manga continues to build, an unusual spinoff event has been announced: a live concert.
NANA's singing voice, Tsuchiya Anna, and her band "Black Stones" will take the stage with Reira's singing voice, OLIVIA, and her band "Trapnest" for a special live "Battle of the Bands" on March 30th at Shibuya AX Hall in Tokyo. Tsuchiya Anna and OLIVIA performed a "secret" live show in Shinjuku last June, but this will be the first time both artists perform with their bands at the same event.
The announcement has generated excitement from NANA fans around the world. French broadcast network Filles TV, which is currently airing the Anime in France, has made a formal request to the organizers of the show to have the concert shown live on the network for French fans of the show. This may prove difficult, since tickets for the show are available only through "invitations" that will be given to select fans who purchase the albums released by each band on February 28th.
