Lone Wolf and Cub Movie

Live-action adaptation in the works
Lone Wolf and Cub is set to be adapted into a live action Hollywood film by Darren Aronofsky, the director of the critically accalimed "Pi" and "Requiem for a Dream" movies, as well as the unreleased "Batman Year One."
According to the article, the film will be "contemporized by Aronofsky and his Protozoa partner Eric Watson, who'll produce." Unfortunately this doesn't make it clear if they are adapting the story to appeal to contemporary audiences, or if they are adapting it to a contemporary setting, such as Lone Wolf and Cub 2010.
The film is being produced for Paramount and the Mutual Film Company. Lone Wolf and Cub has already been adapted into a live action series of movies, "Baby Cart" available from AnimEigo.
