Nausicaä misses target in Korea

The Korean theatrical presentation of Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind came to an end on February 2nd. According to Korean movie information e-zine Film2, by January 7th Nausicaä had only drawn an audience of approximately 120 000 viewers. Short of the original expectations.
Nausicaä will be released on video for rental in South Korea in March.
Meanwhile, Avalon opened on Friday, February 2nd and drew audiences totaling 18,000 viewers in Seoul by the end of the next weekend (February 11th).
