The official Indian Instagram account for Pokémon announced on Wednesday that it is giving away match tickets for the Indian Premiere League (IPL) for May 2, May 14, and May 18. The Pokémon Company has partnered with IPL cricket teams Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.

The company also partnered with the Indian Super League and gave away tickets to its finale in Kolkata. It hosted a performance during the match on April 12.

The company hosted a meet and greet as well a stage show at Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai, India on March 29 and March 30. The event included games, freebies, a photo spot, and a Pokémon Go booth.

The Pokémon Carnival and Pokémon Run events took place from February 27 through March 2 at Jio World Garden, BKC, Mumbai, India.

The most recent Pokémon Mela event took place from December 6 to December 8 at Phoenix Marketcity, Vimannagar, Pune.

The first Pokémon Mela event took place in November 2023 at DLF Mall of India, Noida. It took place at DLF Avenue, Saket, New Delhi and at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi in December 2023. Mumbai had its Pokémon Mela from May 31 to June 2 at Phoenix Marketcity.

The events included Pikachu dance performances and parades, Quiz contests with giveaways and prizes, screenings of Pokémon animation videos, colouring activities, and a Pokémon photobooth. Participants of the photobooth activity had the opportunity to enter a post-and-win giveaway for Pokémon plush toys. The events also included special Pokéstops for the Pokémon Go app.

The Pokémon Company previously stated that the Pokémon Mela is the first in a series of initiatives planned to enhance the presence of Pokémon in India. Corporate officer at The Pokémon Company Susumu Fukunaga stated at the Pokémon Festivities event on October 16, "We want to take our events to many other cities and not just Tier 1 cities." Fukunaga had stated the company wants "to create more and more opportunities to reach out to the audiences in India and find a place in their everyday life. We believe that on-ground events are key to fostering meaningful interactions with existing Pokémon fans, while carving a way to connect with new ones." The event also saw the launch of the Pokémon-themed festive Yakult gift packs.
