Tatami Galaxy's Yusuke Nakamura Draws Stranger Things Promo Art
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The Japanese Twitter account for the Netflix streaming service shared promotional artwork for its Stranger Things horror series on Tuesday. The art, one of many collaboration pieces planned with international artists, was drawn by illustrator Yūsuke Nakamura of The Tatami Galaxy and Night is Short, Walk On Girl fame. Nakamura's image is based on the events from the series' second season and includes the subtitle "The Spy".
The Netflix account shared Nakamura's comment on the piece:
I've never seen a drama where all the characters were so attractive, so I packed as many people as possible into the art. Even so, I'm sorry that I couldn't fit all the characters from each episode in the piece. So, if you would, please let me draw the show again with everyone! I love them all!
The Duffer Brothers' 1980s-set Stranger Things television series premiered on Netflix in 2016 and is scheduled to begin its third season on on July 4.
Nakamura has previously drawn artwork of Wonder Woman and offered advice for aspiring animators.
