Kaguya-sama Delays 'War' for Valentine's Day Event
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The Kaguya-sama: Love is War anime series is setting aside its characters' differences to put on a Valentine's Day event on Thursday. The Kaguya-sama: Love is War event "Valentine's Delivery Meeting in Arche Ōmiya" will host voice actress Aoi Koga for a mini talk show and she will hand out original valentine goods for free.
The event itself is free to attend but front row tickets will be given to just the first 100 attendees.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War is based on the original manga by Aka Akasaka. Viz Media is publishing the manga in English, and it describes the story:
All's fair when love is war!
Two geniuses. Two brains. Two hearts. One battle. Who will confess their love first…?!
Kaguya ShinŌmiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy's student council, making them the elite among elite. But it's lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There's just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss—they're both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the “loser” in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
The anime premiered on January 12 at 11:30 p.m. Aniplex of America is streaming the series on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow.
Akasaka began the series in Shueisha's Miracle Jump magazine in May 2015 but moved it to Young Jump in March 2016. The 12th volume shipped on December 19. The series has more than 3.5 million copies in print.
