Fan Builds Life-Size Papercraft Freja from Macross Delta
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
A talented Macross fan has recreated two idols from the franchise. Raymond Taylor first built Lynn Minmay and just completed his version of Freyja Wion from Macross Delta. Both paper idols are roughly the same height by Freyja is heavier thanks to her voluminous skirt.

The idols have attached sound systems so while they can't move, Taylor can play some of their chart-topping hits. If the accurate build and sound wasn't impressive enough, the paper figures also have LED lights built in. Once the room is dimmed, Freyja can really show off her stuff.
i hope this doesnt kill the song but i wanted to test the LEDs on my next anime build. @TheRalphRetort @TheGatorGamer @Zidan_Lianciel #Macross #macrossdelta pic.twitter.com/dNtxbHOvNi

Taylor's build was extensive; Freyja's hair alone took three days. Minmay was completed first in August 2018.

Life-size paper builds make for a unique project that still can show a high level of detail. Hobbyists have created intricate miniature replicas of the house from My Neighbor Totoro, built tanks from Girls und Panzer, and Nendoroid-size figures of their favorite anime characters. Twitter user @saryo_san created a life-size Goku in 2018.
