Rising of the Shield Hero English Dub Will Include Alternative Insert Song for Episode 4
posted on by Kim Morrissy
The Rising of The Shield Hero music composer Kevin Penkin shared details about the English dub's 4th episode on Twitter on Thursday. He stated that the anime has two different versions of the insert song Falling Through Starlight, a song he wrote the lyrics for and composed. The Japanese version is sung by Raphtalia's voice actress Asami Seto, while the English version will be sung by Australian soprano singer Amelia Jones (@AmeliaJVocals).
Jones has worked with Penkin before, most notably on the original soundtrack of Made in Abyss. Made in Abyss won ‘Anime of the Year’ and ‘Best Soundtrack’ at the 2018 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Penkin personally recommends that fans watch the dubbed version of episode 4 when it is released. "Please give some love and follow her on Twitter, and enjoy the episode," he wrote.
The official English Twitter account for the television anime of Aneko Yusagi's The Rising of The Shield Hero (Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari) fantasy light novel series announced on January 9 that the first episode of the English simuldub, which had first been previewed at Crunchyroll Expo on September 3, would be delayed. Crunchyroll told ANN that they will "share more info soon." Crunchyroll's last update on the situation was on January 19, in which they expressed hope to release more information "in the coming week."
