A Certain Magical Index's Touma, Misaka Top Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2019 Character Poll

The 2019 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook revealed the results of a fan poll for the most popular light novel characters of 2018. Tōma Kamijō and Mikoto Misaka from A Certain Magical Index topped the most popular male and female character poll respectively.

Tōma and Misaka have been long-standing favorites among voters of the poll. Misaka has been the number one female character since 2010, a streak that has been interrupted only once in 2015 when she came second to Yukino Yukinoshita from My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected. Tōma has come first in 2011 and 2017, although he has been in the top 10 every year since 2007. The Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! rankings began in 2005.
